What is a relocation

A relocation is a vehicle that needs to be moved from one location to another. The vehicle is usually transferred by a rental car company or a car dealership. The vehicles can be cars, SUV's, campervans, motorhomes, trucks, or utes.

Who pays for fuel

Accepted Answer

Similar to a typical vehicle rental, you are responsible for fuel. The vehicle will be supplied with a full tank of fuel and you are expected to return it with a full tank. If you do not return the vehicle with a full tank you will be charged a fee.

Why are they so cheap

Accepted Answer

Rental car companies and car dealerships need to move vehicles between their branches all the time. They can either pay a trucking company to move the vehicle or they can offer a relocation deal and let you drive it for a nominal fee. This saves them money and saves you money.

What is the cancellation policy

Accepted Answer

Before confirmation, you can cancel your relocation at no charge. After confirmation, cancellation will forfeit all monies paid. If you think there is a chance you may need to cancel, please do not book a relocation. We do not offer refunds for cancellations.

How long does it take for my booking to be confirmed

Accepted Answer

A booking can take up to two business day to be updated, whether this is confirmed or cancelled. It is also important to keep in mind, that any bookings made on Friday afternoon or over the weekend, will most likely not be confirmed until Monday/Tuesday.

Can I book outside of the advertised dates

Accepted Answer

No, the booking has been advertised as it needs to be in a certian location by the date advertised. Imoova does update their website daily, so the relocation may change overtime. But you are unable to book a relocation outside of the advertised dates.

We offer many different vehicle relocations worldwide. You can relocate cars, SUVs, RVs, motorhomes, campervans, minibuses, people movers, trucks, or utes!

How do fuel reimbursements work

Accepted Answer

Many of our listings have fuel reimbursements offered by the rental company.

If a listing states 'fuel allowance', 'fuel receipts' or 'fuel refund', this means that the rental company will refund you up to the amount stated for the fuel spent on your journey.

To redeem the free fuel, you must keep your receipts when purchasing fuel throughout your journey and hand these receipts in at the depot when returning the vehicle.

It is the rental company themselves that are responsible for fuel receipts/refunds and not Imoova.

Which countries can I relocate vehicles in

Imoova is rapidly expanding and offering more countries than ever! Currently, you can relocate vehicles in Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, Japan, and multiple countries in Europe such as Portugal, Spain, UK, Italy, Germany and France. What drivers license do I need

Typically, your license will need to be in English or have some English on it. You can either obtain a translation, or an International Drivers License. You do not need a special type of license to drive an RV or motorhome unless otherwise stated on the listing.

You must hold full driving rights for every country you plan to drive in during your journey. Local drivers must hold a valid full driver’s licence. International travellers must hold both their full home-country licence and a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) if the license is not in English. Probationary, learner, or training licences are usually not accepted. If you are unsure whether your licence is accepted, please contact us.

How does the ferry work

If you are relocating to/from Tasmania and your listing includes a ferry then here's what you need to know:
"Can I sleep in the vehicle?" No.
"How do I add additional passengers?" Call Spirit of Tasmania after confirmation.
"Do I have to pay for a recliner?" No, it's free if it's a night sail.
"Can I change the date?" Not if the listing displays a pre booked date. Otherwise, it's subject to availability. 
"My booking comes with a free ferry but there is no availability." Contact us & check before you book.

Question 12

Will multiple bookings increase my chance of confirmation

Accepted Answer

No, unlike other relocation providers, we have a first-come-first-serve system. If you make multiple bookings for the same trip, it'll cause confusion with our suppliers and will take longer for your confirmation. If you have a pending booking, please contact us before making a second booking.

How much does the bond cost

Accepted Answer

The bond varies by vehicle type and supplier, typically between $200-$3000. You can find the exact amount on each listing in the 'insurance' section. Please note, the bond amount is decided by the rental company and not Imoova.
